Coach Toni Gillespie
I grew up in Dallas, Texas, where I cheered in high school and was Captain of the Dance Team. My senior year I was 3rd Runner Up Miss Texas Drill Team. I was a Kilgore College Rangerette and on the Dance Team at The University of Texas. I was an instructor for the National Cheerleaders Association for 14 years and a professional cheerleader for 2 years. I have choreographed for the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Dublin, Ireland, for the Aloha Bowl halftime in Honolulu, Hawaii, and for high school cheer and dance competition teams in Southern California.
I was a 5th grade teacher here at Maranatha Christian Academy for 7 years.
I am married to my best friend and the love of my life, Mike. God has blessed us with our 2 sons, Alex and Luke. I could not do this job without the support of my husband who is by my side at all of the games. I am thankful for my boys who are willing to share their mom with the cheer team.
I know that I am nothing without my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I am so grateful to the Lord for blessing me with the opportunity to minister to this precious team of girls and for giving me a job that I love.
I want the team to know that God doesn't expect perfection. He just wants a humble heart that loves Him and wants to serve Him. I tell them they are each daughters of the King and to wait for God's best.
"Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him." 1 Corinthians 2:9
