Coach Clayton Voechting
Clayton Voechting is going into his first year as Head Varsity Baseball Coach at Calvary Chapel. Voechting started coaching at age 18 when he was an assistant coach for the #2 travel baseball team in California for 12U. In 2016, he coached the JV team at Calvary Chapel, the team took 1st place in league with a league record of 10-2.
Voechting played 4 years of collegiate baseball, 2 years at Palomar JC and 2 years at Vanguard University. After college he had the opportunity to play 2 professional seasons. His first season was with the Santa Fe Fuego, Independent League and his second season was played over seas in Regensburg, Germany.
Voechting has high hopes and expectations this upcoming season. “I am so excited to get going.” Voechting said, “First fall practice is around the corner and this year we have a great group of boys who are as hungry as I am to win a CIF championship.” Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize?
