Coach Josh Hill
I grew up in Orange County where I spent most of my waking moments from adolescence to young adulthood either playing sports or at the Southern California Beaches. I went to cross town rival Costa Mesa High School where I held multiple letters in Baseball and Football, but the beach is where my love of volleyball began, in the middle of where beach volleyball began. I continued to finish my education and excel in college athletics. My college playing career was cut short by multiple injuries and this is where my focus turned to coaching. I have spent the last 20 years learning from great coaches and coaching and mentoring some of the county’s elite athletes in high school as well as college. Most recently I have spent the last 4 years at a local Volleyball club as a co-director and coach. My CCHS career began a few years ago, but most recently I assisted our Varsity CCHS Girls Volleyball team to a CIF berth in 2016.
I have a beautiful wife of 16 years, Noelle (CCHS graduate). We have three children; Slater 6, Delaney 13, and Makenzie 15. Both Delaney and Makenzie attend CCHS and play volleyball, Slater is our gym rat.
I enjoy spending time with my family, sports, outdoors, and coaching.
We look to coach and mentor our athletes through the word of Christ while focusing on maximum effort, positive attitudes, and winning as a team. “No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.” Hebrews 12:11-12
