Junior Alex Harakas served with the CCHS missions teams to Dominican Republic her freshmen and sophomore year. During October 27-November 1, she returned on her own to Barahona to partner with Children of Hope. Alex was invited to participate in their first church service held in their new building. While there, she translated the service message into English. Other days were spent visiting the school on the same campus to aid in organizing roll sheets and photos for their sponsorship program.
In addition to this recent trip, Alex has a heart for the Dominican and was moved to provide a source of water for them. She has privately been raising funds to purchase a well by selling photography and t-shirts. For more information on the products available, ask Alex about her website.
